PRESIDENT – RON INGE

Ronald E. (Ron) Inge is President of Inge & AsRon Ingesociates, Inc., a mining and real estate consulting firm in Southwest Florida. The company is involved in addressing the needs of properties relating to the comprehensive planning, zoning and permitting process in Florida through the federal, state and local levels. His most recent accomplishments are the completion of the zoning approval for a 4,800 acre construction aggregate operation in Southwest Florida and the adoption of a comprehensive plan amendment for a 1,550 acre residential/commercial/industrial project, also in Southwest Florida.

Previously, Ron served as President of Development Solutions, LLC where he was responsible for the company’s projects including due diligence investigation, zoning and permitting, compliance, neighborhood and community relations as well as client relations on numerous development related projects. Ron has also served as Executive Vice President of Harper/Bros., Inc., Southwest Florida’s largest highway/heavy construction and mining company, culminating in a sale of the company in 1999. His responsibilities included financial, risk management, strategic planning and administration for the 450+ employee company as well a leading role in developing the company’s 3,100 acre aggregate mine and 535 acre silica sand mine.

Ron has devoted significant amounts of his time to his passion of economic development for Lee County, Florida and has served as past chairman of the Horizon Council, which is a public/private partnership designed to advise the Lee County Board of County Commissioners on business and economic development issues and to also assist the Lee County Economic Development Office in broadening the economic base of Lee County. He worked with the Board of County Commissioners and Lee County Economic Development staff to bring to fruition his idea for a $25 million reserve fund for economic incentives to assist in attracting high-wage, economic diversified employment for Lee County. In addition to his tenure of over 18 years with the Horizon Council, he served on the Lee County Local Planning Agency for 20 years. Ron also serves on the board of two private charitable foundations and past-president of the Tiger Bay Club of Southwest Florida, a non-partisan political and issues group.

Ron was recently honored to receive the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Horizon Council of Lee County for his devotion and efforts in diversifying the economy of Lee County.
